Laurie Vest
Laurie Vest is not a travel agent who became a ski specialist, she is a skier who became a travel agent. Her travel career began in 1989 as a leisure
agent for a large national travel agency. While escorting senior citizen day trips, stuffing envelopes and doing anything else asked of an entry-level
agent, she put together her first group ski trip. An avid skier and a member of the Orlando Ski Club, she was a natural at the job and soon was asked
to specialize in group ski sales. Over the last 22 years she has booked ski groups ranging from large ski clubs to private schools to small church and
business organizations – literally everything from bartenders to brain surgeons. And as Past President of the Orlando Ski Club and the Florida Ski
Council, Laurie knows both sides of the fence, continuing her participation in and support of both organizations. She and her husband Jake spend most of
their vacation time in the mountains, hiking, golfing, skiing and developing personal relationships within the ski industry. Skiing is more than Laurie’s
line of work. She has built her life around it. Through 2 decades of growth, personally and professionally, she has come to know the territory she sells,
the customers she sells it to and the people she buys it from. She may not know all the answers, but you can bet she knows the home number of someone who does.
Laurie joined ski.com in November, 2012, believing their resources, knowledge and enthusiasm would be a good match for her own. extension 3424
